That was our experience as we enjoyed walking along the waterfront in Kochi’s old town near the Chinese fishing nets and fish market. A young vendor named Shiva was carefully frying up tantalizing cassava chips with chili powder and lime🌶️ __ Were they as good as we hoped they’d be? A center for spice trade for centuries it is still a thriving center of commerce. We even got an ironing lesson and left quite envious that we did not own such heavy duty irons ourselves. Kerala has many empowerment projects like this.
